Dry the antlers thoroughly with a clean towel. I'll get my wife to post the pictures as I'm iliterate on doing that. You can also spray antlers with furniture polish, but this will have to be done on a regular basis. I use a 50/50 mix of lindseed oil and turpentine on all the mounts I do. It gives them a natural look. I have a nice 8 pt.
do you guys have any before/after pics of these mineral or linseed oil deals, i'm curious just to see what they look like compared to the original. Antlers....I shot two P&Y bou in velvet in 06.
They look like perfect hard horn bou. Soak the antlers in a solution of one part linseed oil and one part turpentine to help preserve them. Thanx.

After I clean,boil let dry rap it good with ace bandge.Get a pan and pour proxide over it acouble times a day for a couple days.This will give it a natural white look.Let it dry and spray it down with varafane [spray can].Let it dry and minteral oil the rack.It will stay that way for ever.I have skulls that are 25 years old.And still look new.
